Part 1

Am updating again… Finally….

people started telling me to update… -_- o well..

Ok.. After A’s… slack and bumming around.. Playing guitar.. Went for prom on a Thursday if I remember. Kind of fun because of the company there. But the food was really bad. Edible.. but bad..

Went home after Prom. Left for N.Y. airport on the 7th Dec the next morning.. took SQ.. a direct 18 hours killer flight…. My dad was suppose to sit business class as he’s already spoiled by it due to his business flights. But he felt bad leaving the family behind in economy. So what he did ( stupidly but also good ) was to upgrade my whole family to business class… Still. Sitting business class for 18 hours was a killer… watched tons of movies but will soon realize there’s another 10 hours to kill.. so what you do? Bum around on the plane at the buffet table at the back and talk to the airhostess..

Arrived in New Wark airport at about 5.45pm on the 9th of Dec. it was about 2 deg.C Took a cab with a rather reckless, hot-tempered yet skillful cab driver. Checked into Hilton New York and went straight to some pasta restaurant to eat. As expected. Portions were huge….

The Hilton Newyork sucks. The only good thing is that its very centralize. Just a 5min walk to Times Square and all. But accomodations aside.. The city itself is so vibrant and happening. 3 am in the night and the roads are still full. It’s a one of a kind city. Exactly like how the movies potrayed it. And one thing about New York that fascinates me is the organization of the roads. Its like a graph paper. The X-axis are the avenues and the Y-axis are the streets. So its easy to locate shops and restaurants ( for eg. 54th street 3rd avenue) .

Erm second day my family went on a short 5 hour tour to tour the city. Showed us some tourist attractions like the Statue of Liberty, Empire State, ground zero and even the GhostBusters hideout, MIB headquarters and the triangular building in Spiderman.

tt night.. Jet lag.. dad woke me up in the middle of the night cos he was doing some business.

Third day. Went to catch a broadway show.. Monta Pythons Spamalot. People who love british comedies. Its so for them.. MY dad, bro and I laughed non-stopped ( almost literally) while my mom kept asking me why we are laughing, totally oblivious to whats going on. After that, my dad brought me to a guitar shop called guitarcenter while my mom and bro went to do some shopping at the famours 5th Ave.. At first, “future SLASH” told me to go to the guitarcenter in Orlando. But it dawned on me that theres one in manhattan too. Haha. Was mesmerized by the amount of guitars they have.. Tried the PRS CE24 and gibsons standards LP 60s and 50s neck. Chose a desertburst Gibson standard 60s neck LP in the end. Sound and feel was the best among all that I tried. But the looks aint that good. Quite a few scratches and all. O well. Afterall, it’s the sound of the guitar which matters most.

The subsequent day… my mom brought my bro and me to Rockafeller center when my dad went to meet a business client. The center had some statues made entirely of gold and had a skating ring around a big Christmas Tree.

In the Afternoon. We took a domestic 3-hour continental flight to Orlando Florida . I had troubles carrying my guitar. Had to put it in the overhead compartment. During takeoff, I could hear the case bumping ard here and there. My heart was breaking. I felt helpless!

Arrived at Orlando Florida at about 5 o clock in the afternoon… Took some “ Magic Disney Express” to the Disney Contemporary Resort.. was hugging my guitar through the half-an-hour trip.. Floridas a really really nice place.. No mountains and hills. Just flat ground with still lakes. Very peaceful. Like me =p But i personally like mountains in the horizon type of stuff.. Cant take my eyes of thoseeee....
